Human Capitalist

the Human Capital Institute social network!

Wow, what a great webcast! Here's some questions we didn't have time to get Dr. Sullivan or Master Burnette to address. What do you think? Feel free to answer or ask your own.

Meighan Asked: Can you provide a few examples about how you can build relationships with passive candidates on a social network? What are some best practices to engage people without actually starting the conversation with a potential job opportunity.

Michael Asked: How do you let a passive job seeker know that you have an opening that they might be interested in without giving of the impression that the only reason you talk to them is because you are a "headhunter"?

Dennis Asked: Do you find that there is a hierarchy of which social networking sites recruiters focus on based on level of hire? For example, LinkedIn being a more credible and/or valuable source for executives, MySpace for recent college grads for lower level positions, etc.

Allison Asked: What are some phrases or approaches that have been deemed as "best practices" for getting individuals to accept you as a friend?

Lesley Asked: Should a recruiter use their personal profile or have two profiles on something like facebook - one private and one public?

Sarah Asked: So if I have a MySpace profile for my company - would you suggest that I invite my employees to be my friends? What suggestions would you make for my profile to make it attractive while I'm recruiting?

Sue Asked: is it worth becoming a professional member on linkedin?
